AI-assisted consult · in our OPD
An AI consult. Not an AI chat.
When someone hears "cancer," the world blurs. The most important conversation — what we know, what we don't, what happens next — deserves more than a chatbot's guess. In our OPD, an AI-assisted system reads your full chart and helps your doctor think. Your doctor, with you, decides.
A chatbot vs your AI consult
The difference isn't the technology. It's who the system knows, what checks the answer, and what you walk out with.
| Typing into a chatbot (ChatGPT, Gemini…) | Your AI consult here |
|---|---|
| Doesn't know your reports, stage, or medicines — it guesses | The AI reads your complete chart before the first question |
| Different answer every time you ask | Same facts in → same answer, with the source cited |
| Searches the internet without knowing you | Searches medical literature with your chart in hand |
| Can invent drug doses | Doses come from medical formulas — never from AI, by design |
| Nobody checks the answer | Every suggestion is reviewed and decided by your oncologist |
| You leave with a chat screenshot | You leave with a written plan your doctor approved |
AI helps your doctor think. It never decides your treatment.
Three kinds of logic
Not everything in the consult is "AI." The most important calculations are deliberately kept away from it.
No AI allowed.
Chemotherapy doses, cancer staging, and drug-interaction checks. Same inputs → same answer, every time.
Cited & ranked.
Treatment and screening options drawn from international guidelines (NCCN/ESMO), each with its source shown, then tuned to you: cost per cycle, oral vs IV, hospital visits, your other illnesses, and your preferences.
Optional. Reads your chart, never decides.
It summarises your reports and searches current medical literature with your chart as the anchor — and every answer is checked by your doctor.
How an AI consult works
Four steps, from your first visit to the plan you take home.
-
Your story, captured once
Reports, medicines, and history entered into a structured chart. The AI reads this, not the internet's average patient.
-
Evidence, ranked for you
Guideline-anchored options with sources shown, ranked by strength of evidence, then tuned to what matters to you.

2Regimen B example optionNCCN CAT 1 MCBS MATCH FIT: HIGH LABSFewer hospital visits · milder profile — matches this patient's preferences.
-
You decide together
Your preferences are recorded, including what we're not doing today and why.
-
A written plan you take home
Tests, treatment, costs, red-flag symptoms, and your follow-up date. Approved by your doctor — never raw AI text.
What matters to you
On your own screen, you help set what matters most — proven outcomes vs quality of life, milder side effects vs maximum benefit, staying home vs hospital stays, fewer vs more clinic visits. Your preferences re-rank the options your oncologist sees. Your voice is part of the plan, not an afterthought.
One consult, every visit type
The same structured consult adapts to why you came — same rigour, the right depth.
The AI-assisted workflow is entirely optional — if you prefer a conventional consult, just say so.
Your data stays yours
Privacy isn't a setting here — it's built into how the consult runs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my consultation done by a computer?
No. Every medical decision is made by Dr. Danthala, with you. The AI-assisted system helps organise your chart, surface cited options, and draft documents — the doctor reviews and decides everything.
Is the AI optional?
Yes. It supports the consult only if you're comfortable. You can have a conventional consult at any time.
Does the AI decide my chemotherapy dose?
Never. Doses are calculated by medical formulas, not by AI — by design.
Is my data safe?
Your identifiers are removed before anything reaches the AI, every access is logged, and the system is designed around India's DPDP Act, 2023.
How is this different from asking ChatGPT?
A chatbot doesn't know your reports, stage, or medicines, and no one checks its answer. Here, the system reads your actual chart, shows its sources, and your oncologist reviews and decides.
