About Me

Dr. Madhav Danthala

I'm a Medical Oncologist, Hemato-Oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant Physician currently practicing at Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, Hyderabad.

My journey in oncology began at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad where I completed my DM in Medical Oncology. I further trained at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada, one of North America's premier centers for hematologic cancers and stem cell transplantation.

I was part of the team that performed over 300 transplants in Vancouver, and have independently performed over 100 transplants in India. I was the first to perform both a matched sibling donor and a haplo-identical transplant in the state of Andhra Pradesh – and the fastest to 50 transplants in the region.

My expertise also includes CAR T-cell therapy and advanced immunotherapies for blood and solid cancers.

What's it like to have me as your Oncologist

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to cancer care. Every patient is different – not just in diagnosis, but in priorities, fears, and goals. My role is to walk alongside you with clarity and conviction, helping you navigate this complex journey.

While my decisions are rooted in science and current evidence, I don't reduce patients to statistics. If something isn't working – if a treatment causes more harm than benefit, or if the direction we're headed feels misaligned with your values – I'm willing to revisit the plan with honesty and transparency.

You can expect from me not only medical expertise, but also directness, realness, and respect for your time and emotions. I'm here to answer difficult questions, celebrate progress openly, and help you make decisions that feel right for you.
